To support the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026), BPS organized the Statistical Working Area (Wilkerstat) Map Processing Training. This training aims to update the geospatial framework, master data, and area contents to ensure alignment with real-time field conditions for SE2026.
The training began with an introduction to the organizational structure and processing materials, followed by a pre-test to gauge the participants' initial understanding. Subsequently, participants underwent material briefings and hands-on practical sessions as part of the preparations for processing Wilkerstat data to support SE2026 operations.
The training material covered updating the Smallest Local Unit (SLS) master data via the FRS-MFDOnline application, adjusting building point locations (geotagging) from SE2026 data collection falling outside SLS/Sub-SLS boundaries, and digital map processing—ranging from editing, cleaning, and validation to village map generation and layouting.
With this preparation, map processing officers are expected to produce updated, complete, and accurate regional boundary data to serve as the geospatial foundation for SE2026. Let's work together to make SE2026 a success!
