December 2023 Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of 98.46, up 0.95 percent compared to November

Abstract

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for December 2023 is based on the NTP calculation with the base year 2018 (2018=100). This NTP calculation includes 5 subsectors, namely the rice & secondary crops, horticulture, smallholder plantation crops, livestock and fisheries subsectors.

In December 2023, East Nusa Tenggara's NTP was 98.46 with the NTP for each subsector recorded at 99.21 for the rice-palawija sub-sector (NTP-P), 104.28 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTP-H); 90.53 for the smallholder plantation crops subsector (NTP-TPR); 110.59 for the livestock subsector (NTP-Pt) and 92.79 for the fisheries subsector (NTP-Pi).

There was an increase of 0.95 percent in December when compared to November's NTP. The increase in the price index was caused by the development of the received price index which was faster than the paid price. This only occurs in the Food Crops and Horticulture subsector.

In rural areas there was inflation of 0.41 percent. This inflation mainly occurred in the food, beverage and tobacco and transportation subgroups.
