August 2024 Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of 100.22, up 0.19 percent compared to July 2024

Abstract

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for August 2024 is based on the NTP calculation with the base year 2018 (2018=100). This NTP calculation includes 5 subsectors, namely the rice & secondary crops, horticulture, smallholder plantation crops, livestock and fisheries subsectors.
In August 2024, East Nusa Tenggara's NTP is 100.22 with the NTP for each subsector recorded at 98.55 for the rice and secondary crops subsector (NTP-P), 98.63 for the horticulture subsector (NTP-H); 101.35 for the smallholder plantation crops subsector (NTP-TPR); 108.87 for the livestock subsector (NTP-Pt) and 92.97 for the fisheries subsector (NTP-Pi).
There was an increase of 0.19 percent in August 2024 when compared to the NTP July 2024. This increase in the price index was caused by the development of the received price index which was faster than the paid price. This increase occurred in the subsectors of rice and secondary crops, smallholder plantations, livestock and fisheries.
In rural areas there was deflation of 0.23 percent. This deflation mainly occurred in the food, beverage and tobacco subgroups.
