Accelerating Database Integration in Nagekeo Regency

On Friday, April 11, 2025, the Head of BPS Nagekeo Regency attended the “Accelerating Database Integration” event held at the Regional Secretariat Hall (Aula Setda) in Mbay. The event was officially opened by the Vice Regent of Nagekeo, Gonzalo Gratia Muga Zada, S.Sos., and was also attended by several heads of local government agencies from Nagekeo Regency, as well as representatives from PT Telkom Indonesia, who served as resource persons.

This event was held in support of the 100-day program of the Regent and Vice Regent of Nagekeo in the area of Data Digitalization and the Implementation of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE).

PT Telkom Indonesia presented plans for the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data as part of the data digitalization efforts to realize Satu Data Nagekeo (One Data for Nagekeo). With the help of AI and Big Data, data recording, processing, and presentation can be carried out more efficiently. Telkom also highlighted several ongoing challenges in providing high-quality sectoral data, including the lack of data supply from sectoral data producers, unstandardized metadata, and the limited number of human resources proficient in information technology at the regional level.

On this occasion, the Head of BPS Nagekeo, Mrs. Angela Regina Maria Wea, SST, M.Si, also shared her perspective on the importance of data interoperability as one of the key principles of Satu Data Indonesia. She expressed hope that the system being developed would comply with this interoperability principle. She also emphasized the importance of unified population data in achieving Satu Data Nagekeo.

This program is expected to serve as a solution to improve the quality of sectoral data provision and to support the realization of Satu Data Nagekeo.
